In a very on-brand mom brain moment, I’m just realizing there are only about 7–10 tickets left for The Mothership… and I haven’t actually shared it on here yet 😅

So — hi, White Rock / South Surrey friends!

If you’ve ever reheated your coffee three times, hidden in your bathroom for a minute of quiet, or ended the day completely overstimulated but still like… you need something? This is basically that kind of night.

It’s a live show (music + storytelling) about all the weird, funny, hard, real parts of this season of life — and it’s happening right here in our community 💜

No pressure at all, just didn’t want it to quietly sell out without letting you know.

🧀 Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to you all, White Rock/South Surrey! 🤶🏼

Santa (AKA Katrina at ) brought us the MOST delish local charcuterie box for our family gathering this year! What an easy-peasy and yummy way to contribute to our holiday party - and impressive looking, to boot! Olives, lots of cheeses varying in firmness, lots of different crackers, nuts… the whole shebang!

…and when we were all stuffed to the gills and couldn’t possibly eat another morsel, it was SO easy to transport to our next Christmas event that evening! Still as mouth-watering as ever, and this time… in front of a fire.

Not sure how you all feel, but I like a holiday meal to feel relaxing and no-fuss… and allow for picking throughout the day. But not to sacrifice taste! Charcuterie is THE way to do. And in this weather and when you’re traveling, speaking from experience, a great car snack even! 🤤 - we salute you!

💫… and I visited many a brewery. It was actually our thing - a thing that led us to opening our own mobile canning business:

🍺 It was such so nice to get to connect over a local brew, at a place we’ve only popped our head into once before! It was… outta this world? 🌍 👏

Thanks for the month of fun, all you great local restaurants and breweries!

🎄 ☕️ When it comes to courting cafes during the holiday season - the coziness factor is paramount.

✏️ My personal requirements: good company, festive music - preferably jazzy in tone, later afternoon twilight vibes, delicious drink in hand (complete with snazzy mocha art), chocolate (in both drink form and pastry form), and plenty of holiday garland/tree decor.

🥐 took the cake! (Well… technically the pain au chocolat) 🤤

Happy Friday, Folks!

Our weekly Taste White Rock choice did not disappoint. Who has tried Sushi Iwa on the beach?

We were SUPER impressed not only with good sushi, but with their accommodations for young families there. We sat down and immediately they got our girl eating asap. If you’re a parent - you GET it. And they got it. As a result, we had quick and very friendly/warm service, and a happy toddler eating sushi! 👏

Long weekend call for stolls around the community while we still have the sub.

Starting off with a coffee from to wake us up and off we went to Generation's Playground.

We can't believe we'd never been! No matter what your age, there's something for you! Even a toilet for when you have too much coffee!

Can't wait to don't all over again!

If you haven't tried our local then you are missing out. It's some of the tastiest pho around and don't even get us started on the spring rolls!

Get out there and support local folks. If we do do it now, no knew will be around when it's safe to roam freely!
