and Emma Shorty of the Yukon River Bridge within the Kwanlin Dun Traditional territory. I was born and raised in Whitehorse and my very first home was in the historic Whiskey Flats. I am alcohol and drug free and have been for 36 years, I try my best to focus on pursuing a healthy traditional and cultural lifestyle. I have two children, Ugut (30) and Kuduat (25) and I have lived and raised my chil
dren in the McIntyre Village for 30 years. I ran for council once before, I came in 7th place and i really learned a lot in that election! In retrospect, i now realize that everything happens for a reason. My Mother passed away, and had i gotten in as Councillor, i would of had to take a step back due to the loss of my Late Mother, Emma Shorty of Marsh Lake. I have waited a Long time to run again, and feel that i am spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically READY to step up and work for my community. It would be an honor for me to offer my helping hands to our People and to support our Nation in the best capacity that i can. I will soon be 60 years old, and have lived through so many experiences that have helped me to grow and I would like to share what i have learned in a political capacity. I humbly ask for your vote on the 2023 ballot for Councillor at Kwanlin Dun First Nation! I would be proud to serve for you and to step up the plate and give it my 200% to help our Nation!
