On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we remember, reflect, and commit to moving forward in the spirit of healing and forgiveness. As we honour the survivors of Indian Residential Schools, we also acknowledge the importance of reconciliation with others and with ourselves.

Together, we can continue the journey towards understanding and meaningful change.

Three early reports by settler Canadians documented abuse and attempted genocide, yet the Residential School system persisted

✨Honouring the Future: National Indigenous History Month✨

As we celebrate National Indigenous History Month, we reflect on the resilience, strength, and wisdom of Indigenous communities across Canada. This month is not only about looking back at the rich and diverse histories but also about honouring the future.

At Team Kermode, we are committed to fostering a future where Indigenous voices are heard, cultures are revitalized, and traditions live on.

This past weekend, we had the great honour of attending the grand opening event for Daylu Dena Councils new cultural administrative building. This significant event marked a new era of healing and growth following the demolition of the residential school in 2021. It stands as a powerful symbol of resilience and a beacon of hope for future generations🪶

🌿 Honouring National Indigenous Peoples Day 🌿

At Kermode Consulting Inc., we believe in the importance of recognizing and celebrating the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across Canada. That's why tomorrow, on June 21st, our team will be taking the day off to observe National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This special day is a time for reflection, education, and celebration of the unique heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. It is a day to honour the past, acknowledge the present, and look forward to a future where Indigenous cultures and contributions are fully recognized and valued.

As an Indigenous-owned business, we are proud to support and uplift our communities through the work we do. Tomorrow, we encourage everyone to take a moment to learn more about Indigenous histories and cultures, participate in local events, and reflect on the ongoing journey towards reconciliation and understanding.

Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day!
