Isaac made history as the first ever Mr. We’koqma’q Warrior 🏆

His speech was moving. He spoke about the 7 Sacred Teachings, especially Love, and said something that stuck with me: “it’s about loving ourselves enough to heal.”

You could feel the pride and the love in his voice. It truly gave me goosebumps. This is why we show up for our youth. They’re our future leaders, and Isaac proved that.

We are so proud of him. Truly honoured we got to support him ❤️

Sea & Junk’s Backhoe and Excavation is proud to sponsor Isaac Prosper for the 2026 We’koqma’q Warrior Pageant.

As a 100% Indigenous owned and operated company, supporting Mi’kmaw youth in our community means a lot to us. When we see young people working hard, staying connected to culture, and giving back, we think it is important to uplift and highlight Mi’kmaw excellence like Isaac.

Isaac is a 17 year old Grade 12 student at Dalbrae Academy who has recently been accepted into the Criminal Justice program in Truro this coming June. He plans to continue his studies and pursue his dream of becoming a Mi’kmaq police officer serving and protecting his community.

Isaac is a proud and spiritual young man who regularly attends sweats, sundances, and other ceremonies. His connection to culture and spirituality is very important to him, and he is often invited to schools and community events to share his knowledge and experiences.

He is also very active in sports and community life. Isaac grew up playing hockey and baseball and now enjoys helping coach younger players and encouraging youth in the community.

Friends, family, and coaches know Isaac as a humble, respectful, and hardworking young man who is always willing to lend a helping hand.

We are honoured to support him and wish him the very best of luck during his Warrior Pageant next week. Wela’lin Isaac for representing your community with pride. 💪🏽

Clearing and mulching project complete ✔️

We were pleased to finish this road clearing extension project for We’koqma’q a couple of months ago. We always aim to get the job done right the first time, and this one was completed in less than 14 working days.

The feedback we received was “job well done” and “you guys work fast!” — which is always great to hear.

We love working for our community whenever we get the chance and look forward to future projects. Hard work and experience go a long way, and we’re proud to put both into every job we take on.

We have been hard at work over the past week re-gravelling the Skye River Trail Park! We also added new fencing to help keep the area safe and beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

We’re almost finished — just in time for the warmer days ahead. Stay tuned for the final touches!
