WEtech is thrilled to welcome Christie Denomme to the team as our new Events Coordinator!

Christie is a public relations and community engagement professional with experience in event planning, media relations, and marketing communications.

A graduate of St. Clair College’s Public Relations program, she was recognized with the Athena Scholarship and Libro Community Builder Scholarship for academic achievement and community leadership.

Christie brings an entrepreneurial perspective to her work as co-founder of local hot sauce company Halo Heats. She is also a driving force behind Windsor-based art brand The Haunted Zoo, where she supports project management, partnerships, communications, and community-focused creative initiatives.

Her work is rooted in bringing people and organizations together to create meaningful experiences and strengthen the community.

Submissions are now open for the Total Mom Inc Business Awards, celebrating Canadian women entrepreneurs and moms making an impact across 11 national industry categories.

From the Women in Tech & AI Innovation Award to the Emerging Founder Award, the awards give founders an opportunity to receive national recognition for what they’ve already built.

Finalists receive the official Total Mom Business Awards Finalist designation, a digital badge for their website and LinkedIn, and inclusion in the national finalist announcement. Winners will be celebrated live on February 10, 2027 and featured in the Financial Post.

Applications are open for Season 7 of Canada’s Total Mom Pitch (Total Mom Inc), a national competition giving women entrepreneurs the opportunity to get their businesses discovered, funded, and celebrated.

The pitch winner receives a $50,000 prize pack in non-dilutive funding, business services, and consulting, with four runner-up prizes also up for grabs.
