🚚✈️ U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) just dropped CSMS # 69657207, officially closing a massive loophole and terminating the "Flying Trucks" exception.

What’s Changing?
If your freight physically rolls across the U.S. land border on a truck, you can no longer use an air manifest or air waybill to clear it. Under 19 CFR § 123.92, your electronic manifest must strictly match the physical mode of transport. No more exceptions.

The Deadline: November 24, 2026 🗓️
CBP is giving the industry a 90-day grace period to get their systems in order. After this date, using air manifests for highway arrivals will trigger stopped trucks, severe border delays, financial penalties, and strict enforcement actions. 🛑

Your 3-Step Action Plan:
✅ Ditch the Air Waybills at the Border: All highway freight now requires a standard ACE Truck eManifest.
✅ Update Your Software Workflows: If you use BorderConnect, ensure your dispatch team is building full highway eManifests—linking the truck, trailer, driver, and truck-level cargo control numbers.
