Meet Nadja Pelkey, Digital Initiatives and Partnerships Coordinator at Art Windsor-Essex. She is an artist, writer, curator, and educator currently based in Windsor, Ontario. Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States and abroad. She has contributed catalogue essays, reviews, and criticism to both regional and national publications. In 2014, she was nominated for the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Arts by senior artist nominee Iain Baxter&. She has over ten years of experience in the cultural industries, includes directing residency programs, non-profit arts organizations, and consulting. She is the former Executive Director of the Arts Council Windsor & Region and sits on the City of Windsor Public Art Committee and the Detroit River Coalition.

What are you truly passionate about? What sparks you? Two questions Stacey Mackinnon would ask her clients, two questions that drew her closer to her life’s calling, two questions that opened up a world dedicated to transforming the lives of young girls through Help Her Fly. An organization dedicated to empowering young women through guidance, mentorship and bursary opportunities in a safe and positive environment.

Stacey is a current member of the Libro Credit Union Social Enterprise Coaching program run by Sydney Thompson. This program is aimed at empowering changemakers in Southwestern Ontario to launch and grow impactful social enterprises.
