There are several possible reasons why your oven is not heating properly. This could be because one or more components have failed and need to be replaced.
You can solve the problem yourself, but if you want a quicker fix and a longer-lasting solution, we recommend that you contact the qualified technicians at ARE in (local).
If the cause of the malfunction is related to the oven control board, the selector switch, the power and wiring connections, and the gas oven supply line, you cannot solve the problem yourself.
So what could have happened to cause this fault?
π The heating element is defective.
The element responsible for generating the heat required for baking and cooking. It glows bright red when in use to indicate that it is in working order. When the heating element is defective it does not work properly and when the oven is switched on it may not reach the correct oven temperature.
π The oven temperature sensor is defective.
When the temperature gets low enough it sends a signal to the oven control panel to heat up the heating element and raise the temperature but if the sensor is broken the oven may not heat up properly.
π the temperature control thermostat is broken
This part is primarily responsible for regulating the electricity supplied to the heating element, helping to heat the electric oven. If the oven thermostat has failed, your appliance may end up not working properly.
π The oven needs to be calibrated
This will enable you to adjust the oven's temperature settings, ensuring that they remain accurate. Do-it-yourself calibrations can run into a lot of niggling problems during and after you fix it, so it's a good idea to call in a specialist.
