One of the many stops along the campaign trail.

A few weeks back, I had the opportunity to meet with and serve lunch at the Transcona Council for Seniors on Whitter Ave. They are a non-profit organization who provides programs & referral services for our seniors/older adults (55+).

They have a host of amazing programming designed to help older adults age in place. It's a welcoming space for friends to gather and stay connected.

Community is what motivates and inspires me. The Transcona Council for Seniors was one of the first day-time partners we welcomed at Oxford Heights Community Centre when I was their President. Our shared history, our shared community.

Thank you for allowing me time and space to share more about my commitment to Transcona.

Door knocking last week has been full of great conversations and incredible support.

We’re continuing to visit homes throughout the neighbourhood.

If I haven’t connected yet and you’d like to discuss local issues or ask questions, reach out and we'll arrange to come visit you.

Thank you to all the volunteers who've joined me this week.

Nothing beats game day energy in Transcona.

Loved sharing hot chocolate with Blue Bomber fans at the Park & Ride. Great conversations, big smiles, and that unmistakable Winnipeg spirit.

Enjoy the game, everyone. Go Bombers.

Mari‑Ann and I spent many years working side‑by‑side with our incredible volunteer team at Oxford Heights Community Centre. We first met when our youngest boys were playing soccer, they were only three.

She served as our hockey convenor, ice scheduler, and treasurer, always bringing dedication and heart to the centre. I’m grateful for her support and for everything she contributed to Oxford Heights.

Serving our community is what I love, volunteering and giving back has been one of my greatest joys.

On October 28, vote Lora Meseman.

"Lora and I have known each other for years, in fact we grew up and went to school together in Transcona.

I care deeply about Transcona and its future. It holds a special place in my heart, and many of my family and lifelong friends still call Transcona home, including my mom and my aunt.

If there’s one thing I can tell you about Lora, it’s that what you see is what you get. She is genuine, thoughtful, hardworking and, most importantly, she cares deeply about people.

Lora has always been someone who shows up. She listens, she brings people together, and when she says she’s going to do something, she follows through.

Her years working with community centres have given her something that I think is especially important in a City Councillor: she understands our community from the ground up. She understands volunteers, families, seniors, neighbourhoods and the importance of having someone at City Hall who will actually listen and advocate for them.

I’m proud to call Lora my friend, and I’m even prouder to stand here and support her." Brenda Kriss, retired executive with deep roots in Transcona.

Thank you Brenda, I'm grateful for your support.

While out door knocking and speaking with our neighbours, we've had conversations about the need for composting.

🌱 Did you know Winnipeg has easy options for composting food waste?
A resident mentioned they weren’t aware and they’re definitely not alone. Composting isn’t just for people with backyard bins anymore.

Here’s how you can compost in Winnipeg:

🍎 Compost Winnipeg offers a several locations to drop off your food waste.
Food scraps, coffee grounds, paper towels, can be turned it into nutrient‑rich compost. The closest for many Transcona residents is at Transcona Collegiate.

♻️ City of Winnipeg 4R Depots
Food waste is accepted and they also accept yard waste and other organics. This option is at the Panet 4R Depot (429 Panet Rd).

Composting keeps food waste out of the landfill, reduces greenhouse gases, and helps build healthy soil. Small changes make a big difference and Winnipeg has more options than people think.

🌿 Plant Sale for a Great Cause! 🌿

Stopped in quick to make a payment in-between canvassing.

Western Financial is hosting a neighbourhood plant sale, and every dollar raised will support the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

It’s a wonderful chance to pick up something green for your home or garden while helping kids and families who rely on world‑class care right here in Manitoba.

If you’re in the area, stop by, say hello, and support a cause that makes a real difference. 💚
