Sometimes the question isn’t “Do I want to own a business?”

It’s “What kind of business model makes sense for the life I’m trying to build?”

A traditional storefront can be a great business. But it can also come with rent, utilities, inventory, staff, fixed hours, and the reality of being tied to a physical location.

A digital business operates differently.

Your potential customers aren’t limited to the people who live around the corner. Your business can be accessible beyond your city, and technology can help automate parts of the process.

But let me be clear about something: digital doesn’t mean effortless.

You still have to learn.
You still have to show up.
You still have to market.
You still have to be consistent.
And there is still risk involved.

For me, the attraction is the possibility of building something that isn't completely dependent on my physical presence every hour of the day.

I don't want another job where I simply trade more hours for more income.

I want to build an asset, develop skills, create options, and have more flexibility with my time.

Different business model. Different structure. Different possibilities.

Thinking differently 🤔.

Something I’ve been thinking about lately:

Sometimes the goal isn’t necessarily to make *more* money.

Sometimes it’s to stop having only one way to make money.

I think a lot of us were taught the traditional formula:

Get a job → work hard → get paid → pay bills → repeat.

And there’s nothing wrong with having a job. I’ve had jobs, built a career, and spent years working hard.

But at some point I started asking myself:

What happens if that one source of income changes?

That question changed how I started looking at business.

I’m not talking about getting rich overnight or quitting your job tomorrow. Honestly, I don’t think most people should make decisions like that based on a social media post.

I’m talking about learning.

Learning digital skills. Learning how online businesses actually work. Understanding different income models. Building something gradually while still doing what pays the bills.

For me, building a Plan B isn't about being unhappy with my Plan A.

It's about giving myself options.

And I think that distinction matters.

Curious though, has anyone else started thinking differently about having multiple income streams, especially with how expensive everything has become?

I'm just genuinely interested in how other people are approaching it.

Sometimes we keep operating from a scarcity mindset without even realizing it.

We see someone else winning and wonder if there’s still room for us.

Someone gets an opportunity, and instead of celebrating, we start questioning when our turn will come.

We hold on to things that no longer serve us because we’re afraid nothing better will come along.

But here’s the thing… 🤔

What if there is more than enough room for all of us to grow?

An abundance mindset doesn’t mean you ignore your struggles or pretend money is not a concern. It means you stop allowing fear to make every decision for you.

It means believing that someone else’s success does not cancel your own possibilities.

That you can learn something new, start again, build a business, create another stream of income, and still have room to become the person you’re working toward.

I’m learning that abundance is not just about having more. Sometimes it’s about recognizing what you already have, making the most of it, and being open to what’s next.

And yes, some days the bills will remind you that you need a financial plan. 🤣

But even then, you can make decisions from a place of possibility rather than panic.

Don’t let fear convince you that your story is over because someone else is ahead.

There is still room for you.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep making those moves.

Your next chapter may require you to think differently about what’s possible. 💚

On this September 1, 2026.

😂 Let’s Normalize Calling In Healthy!

Because I think we need to have a serious conversation about this one! 🤣

We’ve gotten so used to saving our vacation days for when we’re sick that we forgot something very important:

YOU’RE ALLOWED TO ENJOY YOUR HEALTH TOO!😂

I’m well.
I feel good.
Nothing is wrong with me.

But I want to make good use of those healthy days! 😌🌴☀️

Take the day.
Go for lunch.
Take yourself somewhere nice.
Sleep in.
Sit by the water.
Spend time with your family.
Or simply do absolutely NOTHING. 😂

Because here’s the bigger question:

What if you started building a business that gave you more control over your time, instead of always having to ask someone else for permission to enjoy it?

That’s one of the reasons I believe in building something alongside your 9–5.

Not because your job is bad.
Not because you need to quit tomorrow.
But because having another income option can give you choices.

Imagine not having to wait for a long weekend to breathe.

Imagine being able to say,
“Today, I’m calling in healthy!” 🤣

And actually mean it!

Your job can pay the bills.
Your business can help you build the options.

Because working hard is important… but having the freedom to enjoy what you worked so hard for matters too.❤️

Looking back at pictures like this reminds me that life is meant to be lived, enjoyed, and celebrated.🌊✨

We work hard. We make sacrifices. We take care of everyone else. And sometimes we forget that we deserve to enjoy the journey too.

But there’s another side to enjoying life that we can’t ignore:

Our younger self has to prepare for our older self.

The vacations, the dinners, the beautiful moments and experiences are wonderful, but so is having the financial freedom to enjoy life without constantly worrying about the next paycheck.

⏰Time commitment: 30–60 minutes a day can be enough to get started.

2. Digital Products & Resources

Turn what you already know into something people can buy, such as an ebook, checklist, template, guide, mini-course, or workbook.

The key is, create once and sell repeatedly, rather than constantly trading your time for money.

💥In the midst of enjoying life, creating memories, traveling, shopping, and chasing our dreams, we must also remember something important:

The person you are today is responsible for the person you will become tomorrow.

Your younger self has to care for your older self.

That means learning how money works.

🤑Learning how to save.

🤑Learning how to invest.

🤑Learning how to create multiple streams of income.

🤑Learning the difference between looking wealthy and actually building wealth.

Financial literacy is a game changer because, money without knowledge can disappear just as quickly as it comes.

🇯🇲 Jamaica — where my story began.

I was an educator in Jamaica for [19 years]. Teaching wasn't just a career for me it shaped who I am. It taught me how to lead, communicate, inspire, develop people, and believe in potential even before someone else could see it.

Then life took me across the ocean.

I became an immigrant.

I started again.

I learned new systems.
I adapted to a new environment.
I worked.
I sacrificed.

Some people see the good things.

I see a reminder of how far I've come.

There was a time when every day felt like I was simply trying to survive. Today, I can pause, enjoy the little moments, and build a business that gives me purpose and flexibility.

Success isn't just about money. It's about creating a life where you have choices—time for yourself, time for family, and the freedom to work toward your dreams wherever you are.
