From our Edmonton AB branch!
We want to take a minute to recognize one of our guards in Edmonton. Keith Benak works at one of our downtown sites. Here is some feedback our office received from site Management.
"Hello Danny
I am writing in regards to Keith’s involvement with a medical emergency on May 23rd, 2023. When I arrived to the rear parking lot I observed Keith performing chest compressions on a downtown community member who was suffering from an apparent overdose. Keith had found this individual while on patrol. He acted quickly to asses the situation and administer first aid till EMS could arrive. The subject was able to regain consciousness and survived the incident.
When I first observed the situation I did not have high hopes for the individual. I do believe the survival of this individual was due to the quick and direct actions taken by Keith.

Keith will be nominated 2023 Heroism Award on behalf of the Edmonton Branch for his actions and saving a life.
