The ABC of Being a Christian: The Most Important Decision You’ll Ever Make
What if I told you that becoming a Christian is as simple as learning your ABC? It doesn’t mean the journey is always easy, but the first step is clear. Today, let me share the ABC of being a Christian.
Many people think Christianity is about going to church, giving offerings, or trying to be a good person. While those things have their place, they do not make someone a Christian. The foundation begins with the ABC.
A – Accept Jesus Christ. Accept that Jesus is the Son of God who came to save you. Open your heart and invite Him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not something we earn.
B – Believe. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. His resurrection is the victory over sin and death, and through Him we receive forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.
C – Confess. Confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Don’t be ashamed to identify with Christ. Let your words, your lifestyle, and your actions reflect your faith every day.
Being a Christian is not about being perfect. It is about having a relationship with Jesus Christ and allowing Him to transform your life from the inside out. Every day is an opportunity to grow in faith, love, humility, and obedience to God’s Word.
If you have never accepted Jesus, today can be your new beginning. It doesn’t matter where you have been or what mistakes you have made. God’s grace is available to everyone who comes to Him with a sincere heart.
Remember the ABC:
A – Accept Jesus Christ.
B – Believe that He died and rose again.
C – Confess Him as your personal Lord and Saviour.
The greatest decision you will ever make is to follow Jesus. When you choose Him, you choose forgiveness, purpose, peace, and the promise of eternal life.
