If you keep getting interviews but never get the job, your CV may not be the problem.

Repeated rejection at the interview stage is data.

Your next breakthrough may not require another application.

It may require a better interview strategy.

Someone else's timeline isn't your financial deadline.

Stop rushing into bad financial decisions just because you feel like you're behind. Build at your own pace.

A job vacancy that has been open for 3 months isn't always a bad sign.

Sometimes, it means the company hasn't found someone good enough.

And sometimes, it means the company doesn't actually know what it wants.

Either way, don't scroll past it. Investigate.

Look at the skills they keep emphasizing. Research what the company has been struggling with. Then ask yourself:

“Could I be the person who solves the problem behind this vacancy?”

Job seekers often see an old vacancy and think, “They must have hired someone already.”

Smart job seekers think, “Why haven't they?”

That question could uncover your opportunity.

Stop searching for jobs by title alone. Search by skill.

Imagine you're good at research, data analysis, writing reports, and presenting insights.

You might search only for “Data Analyst.”

But you could be missing opportunities advertised as:

• Business Intelligence Associate
• Research Analyst
• Insights Specialist
• Reporting Analyst
• Market Research Executive
• Strategy Associate

Different titles. Similar skills.

Companies don't always use the job title you're expecting.

Sometimes, the job isn't hard to find. You're just using the wrong search terms.

You don't know the person. They don't know your skills. And you’ve given them no reason to invest in your career.

Try something different.

Ask about their career journey. Ask what skills matter in their industry. Ask how they broke into their field.

Build a relationship before asking for an opportunity.

A connection isn't a vending machine for jobs.

Being the reliable firefighter feels valuable but real career growth often comes when you stop asking, “How do I fix this?” and start asking, “Why does this keep happening?”

For example, if your manager keeps asking you to correct errors in a weekly report, you could keep fixing them every Friday.

Or you could ask: “Why are these errors happening in the first place?”

Maybe you discover that everyone is using different data formats. You create a simple template or process that prevents the errors altogether.

Now you’re not just the person who fixes the report.
You’re the person who improved the system.

Fixing today’s problem makes you useful.
Preventing tomorrow’s problem makes you valuable.

Before borrowing, ask yourself: What future choices am I giving up today?

If you genuinely believe the company is a good fit, applying a third time isn't necessarily desperation. Maybe you gained a new skill, strengthened your experience, built a better portfolio, or finally understand what they were looking for.

But don't keep knocking on the same door unchanged.

If you apply again, bring a stronger version of yourself with you.

Don't just count the jobs that said no. Study them.

Were you getting interviews but no offers?
Were you rarely making it past the application stage?
Were employers repeatedly asking about a skill you lacked?

Rejection becomes useful when you stop treating it as a verdict and start treating it as data.

Your past “no” can show you exactly what needs to change before your next “yes.”

A more expensive lifestyle can quietly reduce your freedom to leave a bad job, take a career break, start a business, or handle an unexpected setback.

Before upgrading your lifestyle, ask yourself:
“If my income disappeared tomorrow, how expensive would my life be to maintain?”

Financial freedom isn't just about earning more.
It's also about keeping your cost of living low enough to give yourself options.
