Every year, the African Movie Festival in Manitoba brings powerful African storytelling to the big screen in Winnipeg, showcasing bold narratives, compelling performances, and diverse cinematic voices from across the continent and the diaspora. Now in its 9th edition, the festival continues to celebrate African culture through film, dialogue, and community connection.

Taking place September 14–20, 2026, the festival will be hosted in partnership with CCFM, the University of Manitoba, Université de Saint-Boniface, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, creating opportunities for audiences across the city to connect through storytelling and shared experiences. Culturosity Provider Spotlight: Festival du Voyageur.

Every year, Festival du Voyageur brings Fort Gibraltar to life with giant snow sculptures, French-Canadian food, historical characters, and over 150 artists. Now in its 57th edition, the festival continues to celebrate Franco-Manitoban culture through a mix of tradition and contemporary music. By day, enjoy family-friendly activities, sleigh rides, workshops, and traditional fiddle music. After 6 PM, the festival comes alive with local and national rock, indie, pop, and funk across multiple tents.

Culturosity Provider Spotlight: Mennonite Heritage Village.

A unique experience awaits at the Mennonite Heritage Village, a 40-acre complex that recreates the Mennonite villages of southern Manitoba in the late 1800s. A 20 m (60 ft) windmill dominates the village, surrounded by century-old homes, churches, and schools furnished to the period.

The Village Centre features exhibit galleries, meeting spaces, and the local gift shop. The grounds are open from May to September.
