Who loves the earth? 🤘🏻
We do. The earth is our home, and it’s a pretty cool place. Just look at that sunset. Climate change can feel like a very scary reality, but the good news is, there’s lots of little things we can do that add up in time when we all do our part.
For the next month in preparation for our show ‘blink,’ we’ll be sharing little things you can do each week that add up and make a big difference.
This week, let’s focus on plastic. How can you use more reusable things in your every day? Here’s a few ideas:
1. Bring a water bottle with you and ditch drinks in disposable bottles. (Did you know, there are actually micro plastic particles in that bottled water that actually end up in our rivers and oceans? Yikes.)
2. Reusable grocery bags - big and small. We’ve known about the big bags for a while, but there are now reusable bags for your produce, too! Less packaging = less waste.
3. Replace cling wrap and plastic baggies with silicon alternatives. Silicon is so cool, you can freeze is, put it in the oven and microwave, wash it and use it again! Super useful, and it will actually SAVE YOU money in the long run.
A million tiny actions on an individual level creates change within the collective. You are more powerful than you think!
