In 2004 Merlin Custom Home Builders designed and created an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) home. That 5,000 sq. ft., two- story, loft-style home, with basement, became the National Association of Home Builders’ 2004 Show Home for their International Convention, and was toured by more than 5,000 people from around the world. They discovered Insulated Concrete Forms ability to showcase all kinds of wall finishes while providing exemplary structure, insulation and air management. Since 2004 Merlin has built numerous ICF custom homes for clients who understand and appreciate all that is special about an ICF home.

ICF construction involves two hollow foam blocks framed by steel rebar that form the exterior walls of a building. Once an ICF system is in place, concrete is poured in between the walls, forming an exceptionally strong, insulated structure.
