Camila Bellon never planned on becoming a CEO.

But she always knew she wanted to work in manufacturing — specifically, on the factory floor.

At WTC Talks last Wednesday, Camila shared the unexpected turns that took her from Brazil to Winnipeg, from engineering to brewing, and eventually to leading Eascan Automation Inc., a Winnipeg-based industrial automation and robotics company.

She spoke about navigating tariffs and changing global markets, the importance of building locally, and the opportunity to take Manitoba-made technology to the world.

Thank you, Camila, for sharing your story! And a big thank you to Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Winnipeg Economic Development and Tourism, and BDC for supporting this WTC Talks!

Reconciliation is not a single act, but an ongoing journey.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the children who never returned home, the survivors of residential schools, and the communities forever impacted.

It’s a time to reflect on Canada’s history and commit to actions that support healing and understanding.

At World Trade Centre Winnipeg, located on Treaty 1 Territory and the homeland of the Red River Métis, we are committed to creating space for Indigenous voices, working with Indigenous partners, and supporting Indigenous-owned businesses in our community today and every day.

We invite you to honour this day by listening, learning, and taking action that supports truth and reconciliation — in your workplace, your community, and beyond.

────────────
