This Weeks Speaker is Debra L. Takeuchi a Lawyer at McRoberts Law Office and a long standing member of our Connections chapter. She always has wonderful topics that are interesting and well presented.
Her topic this week is "Parental Child Abduction"
"In Canada, the most common form of child abduction is by a parent or guardian, often in the context of divorce or separation.
Some family situations may create a higher risk for child abduction by a parent. Consulting with a family lawyer may help to
manage that risk and prevent an abduction. If a child has been abducted, a family lawyer may be able to assist with options
for return of the child."
This has been in the news recently and should be very informative.
