August 24th Vineyard Updates, from bud burst to harvest, will give you a tour of this growing season with us.

It's the point in the season when we change our focus from the growth and development of the canopy and clusters to veraison.

The L'Acadie has been taking on the red spots that indicate the start of their veraison and the Seyval has started to shift from blue green berries to sunkissed yellow green.

The later ripening varieties on the hill will begin showing veraison in the coming weeks, first in the Vidal and then the Riesling.

Our Wine Shop at gaspereauwine.ca/wines.html is always open for convenient shopping.

Winery open Friday - Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm
Last day of the season, September 7th

Our tasting flights let you customize three wines to match your taste. Not sure where to start? Our staff is happy to guide you with their expertise. And if you'd like a little inspiration before you even arrive, we're sharing what our own team would choose when they're on the guest side of the bar.

Jesus has been caring for the vineyards for five seasons and enjoys seeing the growth process of the vineyard. The panoramas of the Valley, especially during spring sunsets, are standouts for him along with fishing.

Jesus's staff flight picks — what he'd order when he's on the guest side of the bar:

Gaspereau Tidal Bay: A crisp, aromatic white wine and the province's official appellation, Tidal Bay is the wine to experience Nova Scotia with. Jesus enjoys Gaspereau Vineyards expression of this unique appellation crafted with the grape varieties he’s familiar with from the vineyard.

Gaspereau Small Lot Red: This unique blend has soft tannins and a complex nose with multiple layers of aromatics. This is a wine Jesus would happily enjoy with great BBQ and a sunset.

Gaspereau Lucie Kuhlmann: A long standing favourite of Jesus, he enjoys the balance of moderate tannins and a food-friendly acidity with the fruit driven nose.

Honourable mention to Gaspereau Muscat, which has been well represented in previous staff flight picks and Jesus’ #4 choice.

Not sure where to start? These three wines are Jesus’ go-to picks — and are worth a spot in your regular rotation.

Andrea is preparing for her 15th harvest season with us and stays behind the camera. She would love to see more visitors taking on a satisfying hike at Blomidon Provincial Park—best finished with toes in the sand.

Andrea's staff flight picks — what she'd order when she's on the guest side of the bar, in her own words:

Mercator Tidal Bay: Gaspereau's Tidal Bay is not to be missed—as Karen highlighted in her flight picks. It's the perfect wine for comparing wineries, and Mercator's expression reflects the overarching style of our sister winery. One taste and you'll want to add a stop to your plans.

Rose: A classic summer rosé in every sense—bright and refreshing on the palate. Off-dry and food-friendly, it pairs effortlessly with warm-weather fare. And because rosé is made from the juice of red grape varieties, fermented like a white wine, it's the perfect bridge between red and white.

Muscat: The aromatics of this wine bring back fond harvest memories every time—it's a favourite grape to taste during the season. The fragrance of the fresh fruit is conjured up in the nose of this wine. And while the aromas hint at sweetness, the wine is actually dry, with a lingering finish of fresh peach, rose, and spice.

Not sure where to begin? These three wines are the ones I reach for most — and I hope they earn a place among your favourites as well.

Meet Karen. When she's not ensuring a great guest experience she enjoys spending time with her family (including her two dogs Espiritu and Alba)and her lake family!

Karen's staff flight picks — what she'd order when she's on the guest side of the bar, in her own words:

Tidal Bay: My favorite Tidal Bay in Nova Scotia—and one of the reasons I love working at Gaspereau Vineyards. It's crisp, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, pairing perfectly with bacon-wrapped scallops, Thai food, or mango ginger cheese. It's the wine I find myself recommending again and again because I know how much people are going to enjoy it.

Muscat: This is our hidden gem. Whenever someone tells me they're looking for something a little different, this is the wine I pour. The incredible grapefruit aromatics grab your attention right away, while the wine stays surprisingly dry with very low residual sugar. It pairs beautifully with hot wings, fish cakes, and other bold, flavorful dishes. If you've never tried our Muscat, you're in for a pleasant surprise.

Riesling: This is my go-to wine because it never disappoints. It's an award-winning Riesling that has earned its reputation, and it's one I come back to time and time again. I love how incredibly versatile it is—whether it's fish and chips, fresh salmon, tacos, chicken, or simply enjoying a glass on the deck after a long day, it just works. If you're looking for one bottle that's easy to love and pairs with almost anything, this is the one I reach for.

If you're not sure where to start, start here. These three wines are my personal favorites, and I hope they become some of yours, too. Cheers! 🍷
