🚨 Calling all youth teams, clubs, and schools in Nova Scotia 🚨 Divert NS is awarding a total of $10,000 in cash prizes for organizing a bottle drive in your community. What a great way to fundraise for your team while also keeping Nova Scotia clean by recycling responsibly!

April 11th weekend is booked, but all other weekends during the contest are still available!

You can email Chantal at EnviroDepot @ hotmail. com (remove the spaces, I'm tired of bots haha) to book your upcoming bottle drives and get all of the logistics from us (bonus, you don't have to count your containers for a bottle drive, we do it for you!, last year YCMHS took home a prize from their bottle drive!

This is a reminder that should never have to be reminded.

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE Policy for harrassment.

Never is it ok to slap anyone on the ass. This is the 3rd time this has happened in the last year, female employees at our depot have been assaulted. 3 separate incidents. 3 different males.

Speak up, spread the word. Be decent human beings! Don’t touch our staff!

It is with great sadness, that we share the loss of Mr. Peter Hadley. Peter started this amazing company 45 years ago, he has been our leader, our champion, and a true trailblazer. We will miss him dearly.

Paper Chase will be CLOSED, Monday, Dec. 8, 2025 for our Paper Chase family to attend the service, honouring the late great Peter Hadley.

Today's the day!

Paper Chase Bottle Exchange Ltd. as part of the Eastern Recyclers Association in partnership with Circular Materials, will now be able to recycle 5 more products at our Enviro Depot!

In a separate bag (clear or blue) or box, from your refundables, you can now return:
1. Aerosol Cans (hairspray, shaving cream, cooking spray, etc)
2. Glass Jars (pickle Jars, jam jars, etc. RINSED & LIDS REMOVED)
3. Polystyrene (styrofoam, meat trays, packing foam etc. CLEAN)
4. Flexible Plastics (cereal liner bags, candy wrappers CLEAN)
5. Residential Cardboard (broken down, dry)

This is an OPTION to the residents of our area, to get more items out of the landfills.

NOTE:
You still have the option to:
-Place glass jars & cardboard curbside with your blue bag.
-Place aerosols, flexible plastic and foam in your garbage bag.

Our goals are simple, waste reduction and recycling, doing our part for our community and reducing landfills.
By bringing these 5 items to us, you are employing locals, supporting a LOCALLY owned and operated company, who has been servicing our area for 45 years.
Taking on this initiative has allowed us to employ even more people in Yarmouth. Let's make this program a huge success!

Congratulations to the winners of our in house draw!

Yarmouth Area Community Fund is one of the charitable accounts we have set up here at the Enviro Depot.
Donating your refundable beverage containers to them, aids in funding their scholarships and all the community grants they provide.
We had the privilege this past week of attending their awards ceremony, and seeing first hand all they do, and who they help, they are awe-inspiring.
Thank you, Mary, Peter, Gert and everyone who has built this community endeavour to what it is.
Your community thanks you.
