- 8 Scholarships of $2,500 each for full-time students
- 5 Scholarships of $1,000 each for part-time students
- YKDFN Students enrolled in post-secondary studies in any field

KeTe Whii / Procon Scholarship:
- 5 Scholarships of $1,500 for full-time students
- Beneficiaries of Yellowknives Dene First Nation, Lutsel K'e Dene First Nation & Tłı̨chǫ

Det’on Cho was proud to sponsor the 2026 Xat’o Gathering and celebrate the spirit of community, culture, and friendly competition!

These Handgame events bring Nations together, share culture, build connections, and create memories across generations. ❤️

There was something for everyone — from an exciting kids’ area and a welcoming space for Elders, to amazing food, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to come together. Events like this remind us how important it is to create spaces where people can gather, participate, learn, and have fun together.

As part of our monthly YKDFN Elders programming, we hosted a short presentation from Advanced Medical Solutions Inc.(AMS). This gave AMS an opportunity to speak with the Elders about their services, the work they do, and our partnership with them — Det’on Cho Medic North. It also created space for Elders to ask questions and engage directly with our great partners at AMS.

Dear Community Members, Clients and Partners,

We are pleased to let you know that our office has relocated from Ndilǫ to the Precambrian Building, 9th Floor, 4920 52nd Street, Yellowknife, NT.

We look forward to continuing to serve you from our new location and appreciate your continued trust and support.

We also plan to maintain a part-time presence in Ndilǫ, so that we can continue to provide accessible support and representation to our clients and community members there. Information regarding location and hours will be shared in the upcoming weeks.

Stay tuned for more information on plans for a new presence in Dettah in the upcoming months!

Congratulations to YKDFN and the Tlicho Government on reaching consensus on a proposed corridor for the Arctic Economic and Security Corridor (AESC).

On behalf of Det’on Cho Group of Companies, we commend both Nations for demonstrating the power of Indigenous leadership, collaboration, and respectful dialogue in advancing a project of regional significance.

This milestone reflects a thoughtful balance of priorities — protecting caribou and the land, supporting Indigenous communities, creating opportunities for long-term prosperity, and strengthening connectivity across the North.

We recognize that this is a proposed corridor, not a final route, and that meaningful engagement with citizens, neighbouring Indigenous governments, communities, and other partners remains an important part of the work ahead.

Stop by Old Town Ramble and Ride this weekend!

Something new is happening to Yellowknife’s garbage bins!

I am working with Det'on Cho Kavanaugh Waste Removal Services on a mural project, alongside a few other Yellowknife artists, and today I am laying in the sketch for my bin. It is a big green canvas and I am a little bit in love with it already.

This one will be on site at Old Town Ramble and Ride, where I will be finishing it live next weekend.
