Career Opportunities – Yorkville Public Utility Board

The Yorkville Public Utility Board operates a rural water pipeline and a water distribution system through 5 rural municipalities surrounding the Cities of Yorkton and Melville. The Water Pumphouse and Administration Office is located just outside of the City of Yorkton.
The Utility is now accepting applications for:

- Permanent Part-time Administrator – Experience in Accounting, MuniSoft, Microsoft Word, Excel and general computer applications.

- Permanent Part-time Water Distribution & Maintenance Operator – Qualification requirements - Small Water Distribution System Class 1 or able to attain Certification and a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License.

The Utility Board will offer training to assist applicants to attain the required Qualifications. Preference will be given to applicants with Qualifications for both Positions.

December 1, 2023

The Yorkville Public Utility will be doing a water main line repair on MONDAY DECEMBER 4TH, 2023. Customers may notice fluctuations in the water supply.
Customers are encouraged to have a supply of drinking water on hand and restrict water usage to essential household use only.
A disruption in the water supply may also be required during the repair whereby a boil water advisory would be in affect. If this occurs it will be provided as it becomes available.

Effective Friday March 24, 2023 as of 4:00 p.m. the Water Security Agency (WSA) has rescinded the Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory (PDWA) for Yorkville Public Utility Customers.

The water is now safe to drink.

A boil water advisory will be in affect 6:00 p.m. March 20, 2023 until further notice. Further information will be provided as it becomes available. This information will be provided by our e-Notices (by email to those customers signed up for e-Notices), SaskAlert, our page and/or GX94. Customers are encouraged to have a supply of drinking water on hand and restrict water usage to essential household use only.
Customers in Collacott and Pleasant Heights Subdivisions may notice fluctuations in water pressure.

THIS NOTICE DOES NOT AFFECT CUSTOMERS SOUTH OF YORKTON.

AFFECTING CUSTOMERS in the COLLACOTT and PLEASANT HEIGHTS SUBDIVISONS:

Water will be turned off in the Collacott and Pleasant Heights Subdivisions effective 6:00 p.m. Monday March 20th until Tuesday March 21st, 2023. A boil water advisory will be in affect starting Tuesday March 21, 2023 until further notice.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
