DRYER VENT CLEANING IS A SAFETY ISSUE!

Have you cleaned your dryer vent recently?
Today I cleaned a client's dryer vent, as well as their dryer.
It turns out the vent ducting was disconnected from underneath the floor. This appeared to have been an issue for quite some time.
There doesn't appear to be any mold, but, if left much longer, it could have been an issue!
Anyway, i cleaned the dryer, vent ducting and connected the ducting as best I could.
The client is glad that the issue was found and dealt with.
I couldn't guarantee it wouldn't happen again, due to how the ducting was originally installed, but the client is aware and will be having it checked periodically.
SO, cleaning your dryer and vents is not only good for the efficiency of operation, but for safety as well. Not only for the above reason, but it's a fire hazard as well!
