It grows when people feel heard, when communication is clear and when commitments are followed through in visible ways.

You cannot file it once and forget about it. It has to be maintained.

Spring marks the start of a new season. 🌱

For farming communities, preparing for the growing season means making important decisions about when and how to plant.

As part of GED Africa’s successful Livelihood Restoration Programme in Zambia, we developed highly visual maize planting guidelines designed to make key agricultural information clear and accessible.

Using strong visuals to communicate everything from field preparation and spacing to planting techniques, the guidelines are one of the tools supporting households to strengthen and restore their livelihoods.

A great example of how accessible, well-designed communication can support meaningful programmes on the ground.

For International Youth Day, we are sharing some materials from the 'Kids with Goals' campaign, designed to help children in rural areas explore different career paths in a visual and encouraging way.

When children can see more options for their future, they are better equipped to imagine where their interests, strengths and education could take them.

This International Youth Day, we are celebrating the aspirations of young people everywhere, while recognising the importance of giving them tools to make opportunity feel visible and within reach.

Education is one of the strongest forms of prevention.

When children stay in school, they gain more than academic knowledge. They build confidence, understand their rights and have greater access to safer choices for their future.

This is why we are supporting National Movement Of Youths work.

The National Movement for Youths advocates for children to attend and remain in school, recognising that education plays a critical role in reducing vulnerability to gender-based violence.

Our fundraiser will support NAMY by helping equip 100 learners at Mulundu Community School of Peace with the basic resources they need to stay in school.

A safer future for girls depends on action close to home.

Across Sub-Saharan Africa, child marriage remains a deeply rooted challenge that requires a trusted community-level response. GEBAVECHI is working at community level to help change this. Through gender-based violence awareness, school and community sensitisation, counselling and survivor support, their work helps reduce harm and strengthen local protection systems.

Our fundraiser will support GEBAVECHI with the practical tools they need to reach more people and continue this important work on the ground.

World Ranger Day is an opportunity to encourage children to imagine different futures for themselves.

Our 'Kids with Goals' poster series educates children on the different career paths available to them and inspires them to look at options they may never have known about. Ranger Grace helps children learn what rangers do and why it is important, which also helps them see conservation as a real and meaningful career path.

Representation matters, and for young girls especially, seeing women connected to these roles can be inspiring.

Thank you to all the rangers across Africa dedicated to protecting wildlife, landscapes and natural resources.
