පොල් තෙල් වලින් Biodiesel හදන හැටි (Step-by-Step)
මූලික සංකල්පය

Biodiesel සෑදෙන්නේ Transesterification කියන රසායනික ක්රියාවලියෙන්.
මෙහිදී:
පොල් තෙල් (Triglycerides)
Methanol (Alcohol)
Catalyst (NaOH / KOH)
එකට මිශ්ර කර → Biodiesel + Glycerin ලබාගන්නවා
අවශ්ය ද්රව්ය

Methanol (CH₃OH)
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) හෝ Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)
උපකරණ

Mixing tank (stainless steel හොඳයි)
Heater (55–60°C maintain කරන්න)
Stirrer (continuous mixing)
Settling tank / separating tank
Washing tank
Safety equipment (gloves, mask)
නිෂ්පාදන ක්රියාවලිය
1️⃣ පොල් තෙල් පෙර සැකසුම
තෙල් filter කරගන්න
ජලය නැති බවට ensure කරන්න
2️⃣ Methoxide solution එක සකස් කිරීම
Methanol + NaOH mix කරන්න
(උදාහරණයක්: 1L oil → Methanol ~200ml + NaOH ~3.5g)
මේක “Methoxide” කියලා හඳුන්වයි
3️⃣ Transesterification process
පොල් තෙල් 55°C පමණට heat කරන්න
Methoxide solution එක add කරන්න
20–60 minutes mix කරන්න
4️⃣ Separation
mixture එක 8–12 hours rest කරන්න
පහළට settle වෙන්නේ Glycerin
ඉහළට තියෙන්නේ බිඕඩිඑසෙල්
5️⃣ Washing
Biodiesel water wash කරන්න (impurities remove කරන්න)
2–3 times wash කරන්න
6️⃣ Drying
water remove කරන්න (heat හෝ air drying)
Final product = usable Biodiesel
Output
1L පොල් තෙල් → ~0.9L Biodiesel
byproduct → Glycerin (soap industry use කරන්න පුළුවන්)
