It is not just about sarcasm, but anyway to given input on criticism, or praise. I found the acceptance of exclamation marks in effective communication also useful"

THANK YOU!
We had a great start to our Summer Smart program! As you can see from the photos we had a good crowd and there was full engagement as we explored some of the different ways that people communicate and the importance of us learning how to be flexible if we are to be effective with the different styles that surround us. With some hands on exercises, a relaxed open format and some excellent summer sunshine, everyone was able to enjoy some great content with some light snacks and cool Prosecco!

It is the mark of a good communicator to recognise the different drivers, the different needs and the value of the different perceptions of those around you.

The hardest thing for many people is the ability to pick up a mirror and see things as others do. Our Persuasive Communicator course is great at helping in this area, but this short article pulls nicely from these themes as well, and as they say:

"Those new to leadership tend to perceive contrasts as conflicts or as forks in the road. We feel we have to be fully on one side, or fully on the other. But a picture or a company that goes all the way to one side will be too black or too white. As we mature as leaders, we see things with multiple colors that play together."

Contrast is a recipe for success. How you go about contrasts will define you as a leader. No matter how insightful the advice you receive, as a leader only you can know how to manage the contrasts of the situation.
