From 20th to 30th of September ,the mPEX team was in Mpigi district visiting individual farmers who deal in maize and coffee mainly.These farmers mill maize and hull their coffee. A few farmers were beekeepers and ginger growers who pack their honey and ginger powder in plastic tins for sale.

During our visit in Mukono we met these interesting farmers the Del youth group and Mr Apollo Kabalanzi. The youth group dealt in rearing maggots , snails, earthworms, black soldier flies that he uses to make animal feeds.Mr Apollo grows pumpkins, yams, okra bitter berries which he dries and pounds to make okra powder, dried pumpkins,dried bitter berries that he packs for sale as food and tea species. , Clive Lightfoot, Robert Yiga, Anne Dennig, Uganda Small Scale Industries Association

On the 9th of September the mPEX team had a two hour boat ride to Koome Island sub-county of Mukono district. We interacted with a number of farmers dealing in amazing ventures such as rice growing, dairy and ghee processing, fishing and fish processing, coffee growing as well as fruit growing and juice making. We created awareness of the mPEX APP.
