For over 40 years, investigators didn’t know his name.

In 1977, human remains were discovered inside an abandoned septic tank near Tofield, Alberta.

The unidentified victim became known as “Septic Tank Sam.”

Decades later, in 2021, genetic genealogy finally revealed his identity:

Gordon Edwin Sanderson.

But solving his identity didn’t solve the murder.

More than four decades later, one question remains:

🕵️ SEPTIC TANK SAM: THE MAN WHO REMAINED UNKNOWN FOR DECADES

On April 13, 1977, human remains were discovered inside an abandoned septic tank on a rural property near Tofield, Alberta, Canada.

Investigators determined that the victim had been murdered. But for decades, they didn’t know his name.

He became known simply as “Septic Tank Sam.”

Investigators used fingerprints, dental records, facial reconstruction and other forensic evidence in an effort to identify him. Despite years of investigation, his identity remained a mystery.

Then, in 2021, genetic genealogy provided the breakthrough.

The man was identified as Gordon Edwin Sanderson, an Edmonton man who was approximately 26 years old when he died.

After more than four decades, investigators could finally put a real name to the unidentified victim.

But identifying Gordon solved only part of the mystery.

Who murdered him?

Gordon Edwin Sanderson’s identity has been established, but his homicide remains unsolved.

In 2004, U.S. Marine Sgt. Tyler Ziegel was serving in Iraq when the convoy he was traveling with came under attack.

Tyler survived the attack but suffered devastating injuries that changed his life forever.

He was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas, where he spent approximately 19 months undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.

Despite the enormous challenges ahead, Tyler continued working toward recovery and returning to life outside the battlefield.

He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds sustained during his military service.

Tyler’s story is a reminder that the effects of war can continue long after a soldier leaves the battlefield.

🚨 RAFAEL PÉREZ — THE LAPD OFFICER AT THE CENTER OF THE RAMPART SCANDAL 🚨

In the late 1990s, Los Angeles was shaken by one of the biggest police-corruption scandals in the city’s history.

Rafael Pérez, an LAPD officer assigned to the Rampart Division’s CRASH anti-gang unit, became the central figure after he was caught stealing co***ne from police evidence facilities in 1998.

After facing criminal charges, Pérez began cooperating with investigators. He admitted to stealing evidence and described serious misconduct involving himself and other officers, including false reports, planted evidence and the framing of suspects. His allegations helped trigger a much wider investigation into the Rampart Division. (Department of Justice)

One of the most disturbing cases involved Javier Francisco Ovando, whom Pérez and another officer admitted shooting and then framing for an attack on police. Ovando survived but was left paralyzed. (Los Angeles Times)

Pérez eventually pleaded guilty to stealing co***ne from LAPD evidence facilities and was sentenced to five years in prison in 2000. His cooperation also contributed to cases against other officers. (Los Angeles Times)

The Rampart investigation ultimately became a major turning point for the LAPD, leading to federal scrutiny, court oversight and reforms.

Adolf Hi**er remains one of the most infamous political leaders in modern history.

Born in Austria in 1889, Hi**er became the leader of Germany’s N**i Party and was appointed Chancellor of Germany in 1933. He then helped dismantle Germany’s democratic system and established a dictatorship.

Under N**i rule, antisemitism, racism, political persecution, and propaganda became central to the regime. N**i Germany’s invasion of Poland in 1939 helped trigger World War II in Europe.

The N**i regime was responsible for the Holocaust, in which approximately six million Jews were murdered, along with millions of other victims of N**i persecution.

By 1945, N**i Germany was collapsing. Hi**er died in Berlin in April 1945, shortly before Germany surrendered.

🚨 MALONE LAM AND THE $245 MILLION CRYPTO CASE

A luxury lifestyle, millions in cryptocurrency, and a federal courtroom.

Malone Lam, a Singaporean national, has pleaded guilty in the United States to a federal RICO conspiracy charge connected to an international cryptocurrency theft operation.

According to U.S. prosecutors, the group used social-engineering tactics to gain access to victims’ crypto accounts and steal more than $245 million in cryptocurrency.

One of the alleged thefts involved more than 4,100 Bitcoin taken from a victim in Washington, D.C.

Prosecutors say the stolen cryptocurrency was converted into an extravagant lifestyle that included luxury cars, expensive watches, private jets, rental mansions and lavish nightclub spending.

But eventually, the operation came under investigation.

Lam pleaded guilty in September 2026. He faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison, and his final sentence has not yet been determined.
