Calling all Nonprofits in Florida! 🗣️
Firstly, Happy New Year 🎉 I hope you’re all off to a great start to 2026, and that your holidays were restful and enjoyable!
To help everyone start the year on the right foot (and avoid any late fees or interruptions), we wanted to flag a few annual nonprofit compliance items that are typically due early in the year. With direct links included and official names mentioned below to make renewal easy:
1. Florida Annual Report (Sunbiz)
Avoid late fees by filing your nonprofit’s annual report with the Florida Division of Corporations.

2. Solicitation of Contributions Registration (FDACS)
Please confirm your Solicitation of Contributions registration with the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services is current.

(Required for organizations soliciting donations in Florida)
3. IRS Form 990 (Federal Filing)
Ensure your annual IRS filing is complete:
If gross receipts are under $50,000, you may file Form 990-N (e-Postcard)
If higher, file Form 990 or 990-EZ

4. Florida Consumer’s Certificate of Exemption
Please confirm your Consumer’s Certificate of Exemption is still valid.
These are good for 5 years from the original issue date.
