A little under three weeks ago, we gathered in Geneva for the 2026 Leadership in Color Conference, under the theme Building a Leadership Culture That Lifts.

We made room for conversations that challenged us to think more deeply about leadership, the cultures we create, the influence we carry and the responsibility we have to one another.

And at the heart of those conversations were our speakers, each bringing their own experience, perspective and insight to the room.

Today, we are revisiting a few of the ideas they shared, not simply to remember what was said, but to reflect on what we can carry forward.

Because leadership development is not only about what we learn in a room. It is about what changes in how we lead when we leave it.

A little over two weeks ago, at ETK Leadership Weekend 2026 in Geneva, we spent time reflecting on leadership, connection and the power of the people around us.

One thing remains true: the rooms you enter matter, but so do the people in them.

The people who remember your work when opportunities arise. Who mention your name when you are not there. Who share what they know, make introductions and recognise your potential before the rest of the room catches up.

That is part of what we explored through NEXUS: Networking Reimagined. Networking is not simply about the rooms you gain access to or the contacts you collect. It is about the relationships you nurture, the trust you build and the kind of person people experience you to be.

And My Sister’s Keeper asks something more of us.

As we grow into rooms where decisions are made and opportunities are created, can we become the people who make room for others? Can we speak someone’s name with confidence, share an opportunity without fear and use our influence to help another woman rise?

Because the true measure of access is not only who remembers you when you are absent. It is also who becomes better positioned because you were present.

So, as you find your way into new rooms, be intentional about the relationships you build. And when your own name carries weight, use it well.

May your name be remembered with respect, your work speak with integrity, and your presence make it easier for someone else to belong.

That is the spirit of My Sister’s Keeper. And that is the kind of leadership we are committed to nurturing at ETK.

When we look back at ETK Leadership Weekend 2026, we see the three days in Geneva.

The conversations.
The laughter.
The beautiful rooms.
The women and men who showed up.
The connections that were made.
The moments we’re still talking about.

But we also know that 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜.

It takes people who believe in the vision enough to say, “Yes, we’ll do this with you.”

People who open doors.
People who contribute resources.
People who lend their platforms.
People who share their expertise.
People who trust the work.
People who show up long before the first guest walks through the door.

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬.

Brunch for Thought - Fifth Anniversary Edition was the grand finale of ETK Leadership Weekend 2026, and it was everything we hoped it would be.
