-The Fondation institution supplétive LPP holds these unclaimed sums.
Reasons for Unclaimed Funds:
-For 650,000 accounts (totaling 2.8 billion pounds), the foundation lacks correct addresses.
-360,000 accounts (with 6 billion pounds) are up-to-date.
Process for Reclaiming Funds:
-After leaving a job, individuals must specify where to transfer their 2nd pillar pension.
-If no action is taken within six months, the funds may go to the institution supplétive.
-The foundation opens a compte de libre passage for the account holder.
Retirees and Forgotten Funds:
-New retirees usually claim their 1st pillar pension.
-The Centrale du 2e pilier helps recover forgotten funds.
-Funds not claimed after 10 years go to the guarantee fund.
