Through fermentation, microorganisms transform nutrients into a wide range of bioactive metabolites, including organic acids, peptides, enzymes and other functional compounds. These natural transformations can contribute to improved gut health, nutrient utilization and overall animal performance.
What fascinates me most is that every fermentation process is unique. The choice of raw materials, microbial strains and processing conditions determines the final profile of bioactive compounds and, ultimately, their potential application in animal nutrition.
For me, fermentation is where microbiology, nutrition and innovation come together to create practical solutions for modern livestock farming.
