This has not only been noticed in multinational companies, where knowledge silos are formed within departments and even smaller groups, but also in smaller companies even though the latter can react quicker on this situation because of the relatively restrained number of individuals taking decisions. Nevertheless, both fall into this information trap. The solution is to provide structured knowledge and information based on the actual business needs and delivered to the right people at the right time.
