Growing up in Brazil, Marcos learned about Croatia through his grandfather’s words and recollections. Those stories sparked a deep admiration for Croatian history, culture, and the resilience of the Croatian people, especially their long pursuit of freedom and independence. He feels proud to belong to a nation whose identity and traditions have been preserved across generations. 🌿
For Marcos, Croatia is more than the country of his ancestors. It is a place that feels like home. He dreams of visiting Podravina, walking the same village roads his great-grandparents once walked, and standing beside the Drava River that shaped their childhood. He hopes to keep Croatian traditions alive within his own family and to share with his son, Felipe, the culture, values, and heritage that connect them to their roots. 🏡
