Happy Lunar New Year! 🧧 Year of the horse. My fortune today told me to gamble more in the new year so I’ll think about that. 🤔

This photo is a throwback to last year at this time, but I’m on the East Coast this week seeing a student who I met on that trip.

Photos from one of the many Division I universities in Philadelphia tomorrow! Any guesses?

On this first day of the Winter Olympics, I’d like to announce that I’ve expanded upon my current offerings to golfers to advise skiers. If you know any skiers who hope to ski in college, please send them my way!

I’ve always been an avid skier and am excited to offer my expertise in a new sport. Photo taken of me at the in Saas Fee, Switzerland last summer.

2016 was my last season as a college coach so I had to jump on this trend!

Many fun memories to choose from but here’s the top-20:
1. Took the team to California for spring break and walked around Stanford campus
2. Budapest to present at my first international conference
3. Girls trip to Paris and ran into Notre Dame students studying abroad so had to take a pic with my selfie stick
4. In-n-out
5. Took the team to Stanford Golf Course
6. “ “ Olympic GC
7. “ “ Eastlake GC
8. “ “ Congressional CC
9. Georgetown Cupcake x Hoya Invitational (one of my favorite days of the spring)
10. BIG EAST runner up for the 3rd time in a row (finally took it home in 2017 💪)
11. The Greenbriar
12. 2nd Kerry Cup and my iconic Ireland picture that I still use on my website
13. My husband and I saw the Great Wall of China
14. Sweaty picture at Victoria’s Peak in HK, my most-liked IG photo of all time, still unsure why
15. Shenzhen where I learned that you can’t just take an uber from HK, luckily I had a friend help me
16. Hoyas win the Princeton Invitational!
17. Thailand for US College Golf Camps - such fun times
18. The White House!
19. My last Coaches Convention where I knew that we were moving but I couldn’t tell anyone (except my coach BFF)
20. Seattle to look for apartments because my husband had already signed to work for Amazon and we were moving across the country!

I’m exhausted from that but happy that we did all the things that last year. Not pictured: the bedbug bites I got at a Marriott at a tournament in Atlanta. Oh the memories.

And that 👆🏼 is why you should play college golf!

Who do you have winning tonight? I’ll give you one guess who I want to win it all. ⚪️🔴

When I was an assistant coach at IU, they were not a football school. Games were never sold out, and there wasn’t much excitement around game days. Basketball was a different story, and I took every recruit who visited campus to the storied Assembly Hall.

I’m a fan of programs that change the narrative. It’s an inspiration when you see coaches who have vision, athletic department leaders who provide the support to make systemic changes, and athletes who buy in. IU is a football school now, and I’m so glad to see it. I know that all of my former players on the women’s golf team are as well! Go Hoosiers!

2025 was the year of YES!

1. Kicked off 2025 with a trip to SF for a Chinese visa.
2. Used that Chinese visa (PSA: you don’t need a visa anymore for short trips)
3. Saw lots of Boston colleges and universities.
4. Spoke at my first AJGA Preview.
5. Officially became an AJGA College Golf Advisor.
6. Kerry Cup 2025 and the Coaches Cup at Hogs Head.
7. The College Cup in Switzerland - I advise skiers now too!
8. AJGA Junior All Star at Pumpkin Ridge.
9. First trip back to Georgetown since moving away in 2017.
10. Spent Christmas in Asia with my family - and we’re still going. Taiwan for the New Year so send me all of your recommendations if you have ever been.

Happy New Year from Taipei. See you all in 2026!

The rankings came out last Wednesday, and it felt like Christmas morning!🎅🏼 From mid-October through the end of May (minus a break during the off season), the rankings will run every Wednesday.

Did you know that the US News and World Report college rankings are listed by categories: National Universities, Liberal Arts Colleges, and Regional Universities?

Here are Golf Globally placements for the Top-10 Liberal Arts Colleges. Looks like we’ve got some work to do!

Remember that it’s about finding the RIGHT FIT: academically, athletically, and personally. What may be the best option for you may be very different from other people so start thinking about what matters to you in these areas.

I caught up with Coach Chuck Scheinost last week. This Division I university is located blocks from the White House in the bustling hub of downtown Washington, DC.

Their team finished last season ranked 213. They practice at a variety of golf courses in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) and even got to spend a day at Congressional CC last week.

GWU offers top academic programs in many fields and is a leading research institution with a low student-to-faculty ratio. Popular majors include political communication, computer science, and healthcare management.

The team’s schedule this fall featured a trip to Japan, USC’s event in Phoenix, and playing host in Monterrey, Mexico. Sounds like they’re getting a chance to golf globally! 😉🌏✅

Go Colonials!

Some more “where are they now” results here. In terms of the 2025 rankings vs. 2024: there wasn’t much movement in 20-30 other than NYU moving from T30 to T32 so they don’t make this pretty graphic.

Yesterday, I was at one of the 24th ranked universities, Georgetown! A big development in the admissions world: will start accepting applications through the next fall for the 2027 admissions class. Georgetown hopefuls will still need to complete their specific essay questions, but they will not have to fill out a separate application.

The Common App opens on August 1st every year, and it streamlines the admissions process so that students can apply to multiple universities at once. If you’re one of 2027s, we are tracking your activities and extracurriculars so that you can easily fill out that portion of the Common App.

Next up: 🔜 we are getting ready to switch from “National Universities” to the next category, “Liberal Arts Colleges”.
