How is AI accelerating the transformation of higher education?

Gürcan Demirci, President of Türkiye and the Balkans at Constructor Tech, will take the main stage on the opening day of the Turkish Physical Society's 42nd International Physics Congress in Bodrum.

In his presentation, "How AI is accelerating higher education transformation," Gürcan will explore the impact of AI on educational institutions, teaching practices, and learning experiences.

Education technology moves quickly. The harder question is how institutions bring people with them.

That was one of the themes we took away from at Constructor University in Bremen, where researchers, educators, and technology providers came together to discuss AI, online learning, and the changing role of technology in education.

For Constructor Tech, it was also a chance to continue those conversations in person with our partners Integrity4Education and Certory, and to hear perspectives from across the education community.

In a class of more than 24 students, the chance of a lab accident rises by 48%.

That risk is difficult to solve with another safety poster or a longer briefing. Physical labs still have a fixed number of stations, one teacher cannot watch every group at once, and students often handle unfamiliar equipment under time pressure.

Virtual labs give students somewhere to practise first.

They can repeat procedures, recognise hazards, correct mistakes, and build confidence before working with chemicals, flames, glassware, or sharp equipment. Comprehensive safety training has been associated with a 49% reduction in the odds of a lab accident.

The goal is to make hands-on science safer by ensuring that the physical lab is not where students encounter every procedure for the first time.

One week to go.

How can science teachers create more time for practical learning when setup, safety checks, shared equipment, and fixed class periods already take up so much of the lesson?

On Wednesday, 26 August, Singapore Education Network's Teacher Skills Network is bringing teachers together for “Teacher meets Tech: Virtual 3D Science Labs in the Classroom,” hosted by Constructor Tech.

Pranati Bagchi and Sabina Mammadova will share practical ways to use virtual labs alongside physical experiments, helping students prepare, practise, and make better use of limited lab time.

The session will be moderated by Winnie Tan and will include a live demonstration of Constructor Practice Science Labs from Diana Samylova

An LMS decision usually involves many people.
