Accordding to the 2022 annual Cyber Protection Week Global Report from Acronis, 76% of organizations suffered downtime and data loss in 2021.
Over 6,200 IT users and IT managers from small businesses to enterprises across 22 countries were surveyed.

Some of the most critical shortcomings appearing in cyber protection practices today are related with data loss.
80% of organizations ran as many as 10 solutions simultaneously for data protection and — yet more than half of them suffered downtime because of data loss.
So more solutions do not translate into more protection.

And that trend is getting worse this year: 76% of organizations experienced due to data loss - that is a 25% increase from 2021.

This downtime stemmed from a number of sources, including (52%), (42%), (36%) and (20%).

As a result, 61 percent of global organizations’ IT teams now report a preference for integrated solutions that replace their complicated stacks of cyber security and data protection tools with a single, unified console.

👉 Even if you have mitigated, avoided, transferred or accepted
👉 Risks are always present, just less likely or somewhere else
👉 Review them regularly, at least annually
👉 What has changed? Likelihood, Ease of Exploitation?
👉 Even company's risk appetite can change

#1 DON'T UNDERESTIMATE YOUR RISKS

👉 Even if you are small, you are still a target.
👉 Ensure you measure your risks effectively and accurately.
👉 Don't think "unlikely" events will not happen.
👉 Be realistic and avoid "wild dog syndrome".
👉 Plan for failure, these risks are real and not just reference points
