What happens when customers start shaping their own banking experience with AI?

The customer journey could become one of the biggest areas of change in financial services.

As Rafael Casado, Director of Digital Business at Renta 4 Banco, puts it: banks may be reluctant to experiment here. But if they don’t, customers will do it themselves.
AI agents are moving from making recommendations to taking action. For banks, that raises a bigger question: how much of the customer relationship will they still control?

His conclusion is that institutions that want to keep the relationship have to move around ten times faster than they are used to.
