It is always special going back to the roots. The product of Europa-Park Resort delivered by its environment and the various teams is remarkable. 👏👏👏

And no, I am not biased! Anyone who doesn't believe me needs to visit himself.

Exploring evening concepts the recent visit to the Brass Monkey outlets in Dubai were great. Interesting combination of an F&B driven entertainment concept.

A special thank you to the Chimelong Group team for hosting us. It is always a privilege to visit and work with everyone. You are truly a lighthouse of the attraction industry in China.

It is too close to our heart. No Dubai visit without a visit to IMG Worlds of Adventure. The park looks stunning and the team does a great job keeping it up.

Over a decade ago four crazy individuals (Mohamed Adnaan, Silvio Liedtke, Prakash Vivekanand, Markus Mack-Even) came up with a crazy idea:

We need to have an association in the Middle East which can represent the Leisure and Entertainment industry, which allows the local industry to network, which makes the industry stronger and safer by exchanging ideas and best practise.

Against all odds, we faced resistance locally, in the region and internationally, the idea of (Middle East,North Africa Leisure & Attraction Council) was created. A group of 20 enterprises in the region became the founding members with 7 benefactor member companies: Services International LLC, LEISURE PARKS MANAGEMENT LLC, Hokair Group, Othaim Entertainment, Leisure, Worlds of Adventure; Group.

Over the years while MENALAC has been growing, with over 120 members in the last years, the region became stronger and the Leisure and Entertainment sector has become a driving force of the economy in the region, the idea of joining forces with has been forged.

Lately on 1st July 2026 all the joint efforts of IAAPA and MENALAC have come to a conclusion and a new lighthouse project project was established. The merger of the two organisations in the region. Middle East, North Africa was officially inaugurated.

A great night of celebration hosted by IAAPA headed by Jakob Wahl and Michael Rigby, the new VP of the region, officially launched the new chapter.

To everyone involved well done, sometimes things take a bit longer but the outcome is even greater! It is great to see that a crazy idea, moved into a vision and continues to support the industry in the region for the decades to come.

Great visit to Genting Skyworld and Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, the team did a great job in keeping the park clean with the crowd visiting on the day itself. Job well done!

The latest visit to Petrosains Sdn Bhd was both nostalgic and innovative! Reminding that sustainability is something way beyond our industry efforts!

Nostalgic because the Dark Ride System within the interactive FEC was supplied by Mack Rides GmbH & Co KG when Markus Mack-Even was still a teenager and calling the fabrication yard in Germany his playground and innovative / up to date since it clearly shows what is required from us today and from the generations to come to keep our environment fun and worth living for the generations to come.
