Dear friend,
The Rebel Company and I broke up.
It took me a few months to share it in a message, but I thought you should know since we have exchanged for a really long time over this. If you wish to stay in touch, be sure to save [email protected] or connect with me on LinkedIn as therebelcompany.co will be dismissed starting June 1, 2024.
What now?
Breaking up (just like ending a business) is a really long process. It takes time, patience and care. You have to go through the classical stages: realization, decision, confrontation, pain, rest, more pain, more rest, and finally, perhaps, restart. It’s difficult to position myself right now, but I think I am somewhere between rest and pure existence, processing what has happened to me, taking care of my not-so-great health.
I’ve loved this little business of mine intensely and, at times, insanely. I put all myself into it and, although we didn’t make it to take off, we surely shared a lot in the process. The effort felt humongous, especially in the last mile, but one thing that makes me proud the most is the amount of care, love and growth that this experience has offered us all in return. The business might be over, but this foundation will last forever.
I’m grateful beyond any possible imagination, but a new chapter awaits and I cannot wait to let myself into it. Instinct tells me it will be full of intimacy, connection and joy, perhaps in the direction of training. We'll see :) If you are curious to see where this thought will land, I'll be happy to grab a drink and play around it.
Until then,
Clelia
