"No one is coming to rescue you."
I hate that sentence.

Mostly because sometimes I really would like someone to...

When you’re building a business around childcare, so much of your time depends on other people.

Whether your partner is available.
Whether childcare works out.
Whether your child is sick
Whether everyone else’s needs have been handled first.

It’s incredibly frustrating when your ambition always feels like the optional thing.

The thing you can pursue once everything else is sorted.
But everything else is never completely sorted.

Support matters. I want more of it, not less.

But nobody else can decide that my ambitions deserve space in my life.

One day, my child will need me differently.
One day, retirement won’t feel so far away.

I don’t want to look back and realise I spent years waiting for someone to tell me it was finally my turn.

So I’m learning to make decisions that include me too.
To protect time for my business.
To take my ideas seriously.
To be visible before I feel completely ready.
To make my voice heard without waiting for permission.

Being a woman in business means creating change, not waiting to be rescued.

What decision would you make if you stopped waiting for permission?

Hey, I’m Manouchka 👋 I help mom entrepreneurs build businesses that make room for their ambition without pretending the childcare, mental load and interruptions don’t exist. Your life matters now, not only when everyone else needs less from you.

Mom entrepreneurs know something about creating before there is proof.

We did it when we became mothers.
We do it again when we build a business.

You make decisions before you know how everything will turn out.
You give time and energy to something other people can’t fully see yet.
You keep showing up during long stretches when there’s very little evidence that you’re getting it right.

That takes a MYSTICAL kind of trust.

Motherhood strengthened that muscle in me.
I don’t need to know exactly how every part will unfold.
I can doubt myself and still take the next step.
I can protect something while it’s small and give it time to become what it’s meant to be.

That quiet belief is one of the greatest strengths I bring to my business.

What are you creating before there’s proof it will work?
____
Hey, I’m Manouchka 👋 I help mom entrepreneurs turn their ideas into businesses that fit their real lives. I believe motherhood doesn’t weaken our ambition. It gives us a completely different kind of strength to build with.

Most women I work with don’t want to sell with a battering ram.
They don’t want to chase people.
Pressure them.
Corner them into saying yes.

So they often go very far in the other direction.

They share useful content. They talk around the offer. They add a timid little “DM me if you’re interested” every six weeks.

Then wonder why nobody buys.

I don’t want to be pushy either.

But there’s a lot of room between never mentioning your offer and trying to smash someone’s door down.

You can say clearly:
This is what I offer.
This is who it’s for.
This is how it could help.
This is what to do next.
Then let her decide...

No pressure. No tricks. No battering ram.

Just an open door and a clear invitation.

What part of selling still makes you hesitate?

Hey, I’m Manouchka 👋 I help mom entrepreneurs talk about their work and sell it without becoming pushy, fake or someone they don’t recognise.

💩Here’s some stinking advice for a busy mom entrepreneur: “Just post more.”

One woman described her marketing like this:
“I post at random and get no results.”

Another told me that posting is the task she always postpones.
Of course she does.

When every post is another isolated task with no clear purpose, posting more just means spending more time winging it.

Give each piece of content one job:
- Help someone discover you.
- Build trust.
- Or invite the next step.

Your content doesn’t need to be constant.
It needs to lead somewhere.

What job is your next post doing?

_____
Hey, I’m Manouchka 👋 I help mom entrepreneurs build businesses that leave room for an actual life. Posting content should not be an extra job, but something that actually supports our business growth.

The kind of panic I know well as a mom entrepreneur isn’t dramatic.

It’s the quiet fear that I’m underperforming everywhere at once.

I’m not giving my business enough attention.
I’m not present enough with my child.
My husband is counting on me too.
And somehow, I’m supposed to keep track of everything.

The mom entrepreneurs I work with say things like:
“I don’t have enough time.”
“My calendar is never sequential enough.”
“There’s always an exception.”

And there is.
A child needs something. A schedule changes. A work window disappears. The task you were sure you’d finish slides into tomorrow. Again.

Then the panic starts whispering that you should be doing more.

Most of us plan for a week where nothing goes wrong...
Then real life happens, and we blame ourselves for not keeping up.

I’m trying to decide what “enough” looks like before the day starts.
Otherwise, the day keeps moving the finish line.

Where do you feel the most pressure to do more?
____
Hey, I’m Manouchka 👋 I help mom entrepreneurs build realistic plans for the hours they actually have, including the weeks when there’s always an exception.

Two years ago, I threw myself into podcasting.
I’d taken a course that basically told me podcasting was easy.
Spoiler: it’s not. 😂

Starting a podcast might be relatively easy. Producing a quality show consistently is a whole other story.

There has been a HUGE learning curve. Recording, editing, sound, distribution, guests, video, YouTube, promotion, monetization… and about 500 things I didn’t even know I needed to know when I started.

So when I joined the SwissCast Podcast Network , the first thing that attracted me was pretty practical: access to tools, knowledge and people who actually understand podcasting.

But this week, sitting on a panel with SwissCast founder Megan J. McCrory at Le Meilleur du Podcast in Lausanne, talking about the benefits of joining a podcast network, I realized that the biggest benefit for me might actually be something else.

The community.

Being a stay-at-home mom can be lonely.

Being an entrepreneur can be lonely.

Being a solo podcaster on top of that? You spend a LOT of time in your own little bubble. 😅

Since joining SwissCast, I’ve connected with women who understand this weird thing I’ve decided to spend so much of my time doing. Women who care deeply about their shows, their messages and the impact they want to have.

We share knowledge. We ask questions. We celebrate each other. And there’s something really nice about not having to figure every single thing out alone.

I joined for the resources. I didn’t realize how much I’d value the people.

Thanks Megan for building that, and for having me alongside you on the panel. ❤️

There is no one “right” way to be visible.

A local business does not need the same marketing plan as someone selling an online offer.

A personal brand does not need the same visibility strategy as a product business.

Same goal: more of the right people finding you. 👀

Different plan.

That’s why copying someone else’s content calendar usually gets you nowhere.

Inside Back to Business, we build the visibility plan around your business, your audience and the time you actually have.

By October 19, you’ll know:

where to show up
what to say
what to do next

And you’ll already be doing it.

Stop overthinking. Start doing.

Back to Business starts September 14.

the problem was never the two days. It was that I spent most of them deciding what to post, then wondering if I'd picked right.

Most marketing time doesn't disappear into doing the work. It disappears into:
💭 Deciding what to post
🔁 Second-guessing it
😩 Repeating the same cycle next time

That's not a time problem. That's a plan problem.

Once you know your goal, your audience, your message, and where to actually show up, two focused days can move you further than five scattered ones.
