🚨 3 MILLION FCFA… ONE MAN… AND A DISAPPEARING ACT 🇨🇲🔥

Traditional rulers under the Buea Sub-Divisional Conference of Chiefs have filed a complaint with the National Gendarmerie in Buea, accusing one of their own Chief Etuge Augustin, of allegedly misappropriating funds.

According to the complaint dated April 30, 2026, the delegation had travelled from the Southwest Region to Yaoundé to congratulate the Speaker of the National Assembly of Cameroon.

During the visit, the Speaker reportedly handed the group 3 million FCFA as a transport gift.

But what happened next has sparked outrage 👇

The chiefs claim that after returning to their hotel, the accused colleague allegedly disappeared, only to later state that he had taken the entire sum, leaving the rest of the delegation stranded without money for accommodation or transport back to Buea.

Now, the matter is in the hands of authorities, with calls for the funds to be recovered and fairly redistributed.

🕊️🇨🇲 𝐁𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐒 𝐀𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐄

A deeply symbolic moment unfolded in Bamenda as Pope Leo XIV delivered a powerful message of peace, reconciliation, and unity.

At St. Joseph Cathedral, white doves were released 🕊️, a striking call for an end to violence and a renewed hope for healing in a region long affected by conflict.

The Pope urged Christians to rise as true peacemakers, emphasizing forgiveness, justice, and togetherness as the only path forward.

He was warmly received by traditional rulers and government officials, a rare moment where faith, culture, and diplomacy met on the same ground.

Meanwhile, anticipation is building across the city as thousands gather ahead of the historic open-air mass at Bamenda Airport, with organizers preparing space for over 25,000 faithful.

Bamenda today is not just hosting a visit… it is hosting a message.

But the big question remains:
Will symbolic gestures like this truly translate into lasting peace on the ground?
