On Thursday September 03, 2026, TESHO Company LTD had the honour of steering an interactive workshop for children themed “From Baby to Confident Pre-Teen.”
Cognizant of the fact that intelligence and academic prowess alone do not guarantee the all-round wellbeing of a child, the TESHO Team set up short training to equip children with skills beyond the classroom. Often times, we witness bright kids refrain from speaking up in class due to lack of confidence, they may have big dreams yet quietly wonder if they are capable of achieving them. Yet again, they may grapple with fear, poor study habits, or the pressure to “do well’’.
The programme aimed at addressing specific needs in line with recurrent challenges faced by preteens. As such, we began by exploring the power of positive self-talk and the importance of our words in building our confidence, inspiring our choices and the ability to pursue our goals. Then, we delved into the importance of time management: time estimation, time blocking and goal setting. Herein, we did an exercise teaching the children how to plan their day from the moment they wake up until bedtime. Furthermore, we had a talk on ‘’why we tell lies’’ which aimed at instilling in them the courage to always tell the truth no matter the consequences. The training ended with the vision board activity, during which the children created a physical representation of their dreams and aspirations.
As they return to school, we believe that they are returning with a stronger belief in themselves, a clearer vision for their future, and the confidence to pursue it.
It is worth noting that children need a lot of encouragement and a safe space to express their struggles. In many of our homes, academic excellence is given significant importance; and rightly so. However, we implore the parents to consider also the emotional wellbeing of their children. Check in with them regularly, find out about their friendships, fears, challenges, and experiences at school and at home. Also, remember to celebrate progress rather than focusing solely on perfection, as this reminds them that mistakes are part of learning.
The TESHO Team extends their heartfelt gratitude to every parent who trusted us with their most precious gift.
