Le département du Mezam, situé dans la région du Nord-Ouest du Cameroun, couvre une superficie d’environ 1 745 km². Son chef-lieu est Bamenda. La population est estimée à plus de 600 000 habitants.
Il est habité principalement par les Bamenda, Bambui, Nkwen, Bafut et Mendakwe. Les langues locales parlées incluent le meta’, moghamo, bafut et nkwen, tandis que l’anglais, le pidgin-english et le français sont utilisés comme langues officielles ou véhiculaires.

The Mezam Division, located in the North-West Region of Cameroon, covers an area of about 1,745 km². Its capital is Bamenda. The population is estimated at over 600,000 inhabitants.
