My work as an actor is a very risky road. I travel from country to country and meet all kinds of people. It is like riding a fast motorbike with no safe cover on your body. If you crash, your whole body will feel it. In this job, you are open to many dangers, temptations, and deep traps.

Acting brings fame, money, and power all together. Many men dream of these three things. Some have money and power but still fight hard just to be known. If you enter this world without deep understanding, you will be carried away. Your righteousness has to go deeper than religious people. If not, you will fall in a way brings great shame.

At some point, some of the male Nigerian actors there were not happy with how often I was getting lead roles. Film is a very competitive business. Sometimes it feels like it must be either this man or that man, and when a fresh face starts taking roles, it can create tension. I faced a few threats and uncomfortable situations because of that feeling.

But in the end, people realised we were all brothers trying to work. I never had bad intentions towards anyone. The competition actually helped me. It made me understand how tough the industry can be and why you must keep improving. When you step outside your comfort zone, that is where real development and bigger opportunities usually show up.
