Some Thursday art inspiration.

1. Jean-Michel Basquiat was born on 22 December 1960, in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Gérard, was born in Port au Prince, Haiti, and his mother Matilde was a New York-native of Puerto Rican descent. In this multicultural home, the artist grew up speaking Spanish, French and English.

KANPE 2017 Update;

So Marie's been hard at work volunteering and visiting Chinese villages and schools, working with an organization that provides heart surgeries to children in need. Heart to Heart Shanghai 上海心连心 also provides libraries to rural schools, so go check them out and donate!

Marie's been improving her Mandarin, enough to have deep conversations with 5 year olds. She's practicing at every chance she gets and we have some hope that she'll be fluent in a year or so.

As for us, the KANPE ladies are still here, still hard at work politicking and helping candidates get elected and stay elected. With the Canadian elections happening in 2 years, now's the time to build your communications team and we're here to help you win your nomination and your seat.

Happy Mid Autumn Equinox! We're eating moon pies and awaiting the start of Golden Week with high anticipation! We've also had the opportunity to greet the arriving Canadian families at the embassy. It's going to be a great year!

We've been in Canada, Argentina and now we're in China, learning Mandarin, updating Canadian companies on "the China feel" and having a blast while doing so. Political advisors extraordinaire, we're walking and talking encyclopedias on all things politics.

Folks, it's that time of year when we reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year to come. For you all this year I wish a new government, free of liars and cheaters and thieves. I wish you democracy, the real kind, the true kind. And most of all I wish you love, because without love, we're just very far right Conservatives and no one wants that. Happy New Year!

So..... the race for the GOP is awe-some! Minute Man Cain, Newt Owe 400k to Tiffany's Gingy, Mitt I Forgot Tee Hee Romney and who else, oh ya, Michelle Pray the Gay Away Bachmann. It feels so good to be back!
