”Can’t stop, Won’t stop“ — a phrase that came out of the 90s hip-hop scene, carrying the DJ’s promise to the music: when one record ends, slide right into the next, and never let the beat drop. It’s more than love for the sound; it’s a mindset—keep pushing, never quit.

This week, we’re closing out the ByeByeDisco‘s pop-up yurt at Langyuan Station. Thanks to everyone who joined us along the way. For the final nights, we’ve lined up good music & drinks, and a crew of DJs to keep it rolling. Come through one last time, soak in the warm yurt vibe, and let’s raise a glass to what’s been, what is, and what’s still to come.

【 BBD selects 019: enpu】

“This is a mix recorded in one of those endless Seattle winter evenings, when the sun sets before you have barely started your day. The night feels like an extension but somehow a break from a day of grayness and overcast. I had just watched Edward Yang’s Taipei Story, so that’s the whole vibe going into the mix, melancholy and contradictory emotions. Expect dense rhythms, wave-like energy, and some long blending of clashing elements, sometimes abrasive. It kind of captures that feeling of juggling too many thoughts at once, and your brain just won’t quiet down — some feels soothing and takes you away, and others are just heavy, contradictory, and overlapping. Best played loud”.

【 BBD selects 018: Jeff Chong】

“I revisited some classic tracks, remixing them and incorporating some vocal samples by myself. And I boldly blended iconic sounds with contemporary electro and breakbeat structures, experimenting with cross-genre mixing. To cap it off, a nearly distorted funky bass line guides everyone back to the pure essence of the disco dance floor”.
