Almost two weeks ago, we awoke to a transformed world, one that is impacted by loss. The ripple effect of this change touched every person we knew, reshaping our collective reality. Despite being far away from home, we were profoundly moved by the extraordinary unity that the people of Israel and all its friends are showing. And by living so far away, it became undeniably clear that we must contribute in any way we can.
Over the past week and a half, we have worked tirelessly, as we've devoted ourselves to providing support with the little we can. Within our office, we established an information hub, operated by us and members of the local Israeli community in our city. Here, we gather, translate, and adapt news and videos to align with the local media, all with the intent of generating a deeper comprehension of the situation among the local population. Simultaneously, we've been diligently scouring the internet for misleading content related to what is happening now in Israel, thus trying to ensure the output and publication of accurate information.
Our team has operated non-stop, working to identify and establish secure, direct connections with suppliers in China. This, we feel, is critical to meeting the demand for donations destined for Israel. We've been assisting with dozens of requests, tracking down and procuring a wide range of essential items, and advising individuals and non-profit organizations on how to acquire and dispatch aid to Israel safely.
We are grateful for the opportunity to give our help to our friends, family, and fellow citizens. Our only wish is to be able to do even more, and we hope that the contributions will help lessen, even a bit, the hurt and pain of us all—our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, grandparents, nephews and nieces, and all the people of Israel. For we are, as always, one people.
לפני כמעט שבועיים, התעוררנו לעולם אשר פניו השתנו, עולם המושפע מאובדן. ההשפעה הזו מורגשת על ידי כל אדם שאנו מכירים ועיצבה מחדש את המציאות הקולקטיבית שלנו. למרות שאנו רחוקים מהבית, התרגשנו עמוקות על ידי האחווה יוצאת הדופן שכל אזרחי ישראל, והאנשים הרואים את עצמם כשותפים לדרך של ישראל ואנשיה, הראו ועדיין מראים. ומכיוון שאנו חיים כל כך רחוק, זה ברור לנו ללא כל ספק שאנו חייבים לתרום ולעזור בכל דרך שנוכל.
בשבוע וחצי האחרונים עבדנו ללא לאות להקדיש מעצמנו לעזור ולתת את המעט שאנו יכולים. פתחנו חמ״ל הסברה במשרדנו, אשר מאורגן ומתופעל על ידינו וחברים נוספים מהקהילה הישראלית המקומית. כאן אנחנו מתרגמים ומתאימים קטעי חדשות וסרטונים לרשת המקומית, הכל עם הכוונה של ליצור הבנה עמוקה יותר בקרב האוכלוסיה המקומית. באותו הזמן אנו סורקים את ברשת אחר סרטונים אשר מציגים תוכן מטעה ובכך מנסים להבטיח שהתמונה המוצגת לאוכלוסיה המקומית מגיעה ממקום של מידע מדוייק ומאומת.
הצוות עובד במקביל מסביב לשעון על מנת לאפשר קו בטוח לספקים בסין, אנו מרגישים שזה קריטי על מנת לעמוד בדרישות התרומות והציוד אשר מיועדים לארץ. אנו משתדלים לעזור ולתמוך בעשרות בקשות אשר הגיעו אלינו למצוא מגוון ציוד רחב, תקין ואיכותי, ולייעץ לגופים פרטיים ואירגונים על הדרך הבטוחה והכדאית ביותר בקנייה ושילוח תרומות לארץ.
אנו אסירי תודה על ההזדמנות לעזור לחברים, משפחות ושאר אזרחי המדינה באשר הם. משאלתינו היחידה היא לעשות יותר ולקוות שהתמיכה תעזור, ולו במעט, להפחית מהכאב שכולנו חווים- אחינו ואחיותינו, ההורים, הסבים, האחיינים, וכל עם ישראל באשר הוא. אנחנו, כמו תמיד, עם אחד וגם מפה נצא מחוזקים.
