Your Fabric Is Fine — But Your Zipper Might Fail.
Trims are the Hidden Risk Nobody Talks About.
First, what are trims?
Zippers, buttons, hang tags, the elastic band in your pants — these are all trims.
When we buy clothes, we focus almost entirely on the fabric: Does it feel good? Will it pill? Is it waterproof?
Fabric issues are easy to notice. But the real small details are often hidden in the trims.
1. The zipper pull on your jacket always gets stuck — maybe the manufacturer ignored tension testing during production.
2. Your pants lose elasticity after a few washes and the waistband keeps falling down — possibly because the rubber content was too low, replaced with cheap alternatives.
So what makes trims ”reliable“?
Good trims have hard standards for every detail.
At D&J, from fabric and trim customization to production and shipping, we have a complete quality control process.
We have 25 QC personnel throughout the entire process, strictly following the AQL 2.5 international sampling standard — to ensure our customers receive the most stable and reliable quality assurance.
✅ Zippers
Our products must pass child safety testing to prevent swallowing risks for children. Fatigue testing simulates daily zipping action for thousands of cycles — requiring smooth operation without jamming, no tooth detachment or deformation. Crosswise strength testing checks tear resistance under lateral force. Sliding smoothness ensures easy and smooth zipping.
✅ Elastic bands
Including elastic recovery rate testing, stretch fatigue testing, washing resistance, and elastic modulus.
✅ Metal components (buttons, rivets, etc.)
We strictly follow EU REACH standards, strictly controlling lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals.
✅ Woven labels / prints
Must pass perspiration fastness testing to ensure no fading after contact with sweat or washing.
Great fabric deserves equally reliable trims.
Because for every piece of clothing you wear — we don‘t want the small details to let you down.
