Custom beverage tubs: start with the decisions that shape the sample.

1. Use: when the ice melts, the base joint and body seams need to hold water. Agree the sealing approach and a water-holding check at the sample stage. Also tell us whether the loaded tub will be carried or left on display.

2. Size: separate the dimensions that must stay fixed from those you can discuss. At Grand Jetfame, we check existing base tooling first. For suitable designs, body-height changes may be possible around an existing base. Revised dimensions need to be agreed before sampling.

3. Custom details: specify the handle material, finish, shape and movement separately from the logo artwork, print size, position and brand colors.

A product photo is not a packing list.

Before comparing quotations for a small metal pail, confirm whether the required set includes the lid, handle and any accessories. Also state how many of each item belong in one set and how the product should be packed. Styling props in a photo may not be supplied.

The four pictured finishes are currently stocked. For small-batch dispatch, we can pack 4 pcs per inner pack, subject to stock confirmation. Custom finishes and configurations remain available through OEM/ODM.

At Grand Jetfame, we first check whether existing base tooling suits the project. Laser-cut body blanks give us flexibility to adjust height. Handle material, finish, shape and movement can be specified separately.

Seeing a laser cutter does not mean every custom metal part is tool-free.

The laser makes the flat profile. The final shape may still need bending, rolling, beading, embossing or another forming step, and some of those steps need separate tooling.

Before asking for a quote, send four things:

• Drawing or reference
• Material
• Thickness
• Estimated quantity

We can review cutting and forming separately, so you know what belongs to sample cost, what belongs to tooling, and which route fits the planned volume.

Matching a color sample is only one part of finish control.

Buyers should also review surface preparation, coverage around edges and how consistently the final appearance repeats across a production batch. A good sample starts the discussion; repeatability makes the range ready for market.

A good finish can still arrive marked if packing is treated as the last step.

For metal tubs, we review rim protection, handle position, inner separation and carton space against the product and its sales channel. Retail, e-commerce and wholesale shipments do not face the same handling risks.

A custom metalware project should not start with unit price alone. It should start with the details that determine whether the design can be sampled, repeated, packed and delivered reliably.

For a useful first OEM/ODM review, buyers should prepare:

1. a drawing, reference sample or target product;
2. the target market and intended use;
3. key dimensions, capacity and structural requirements;
4. finish, color, branding and packaging needs;
5. estimated order quantity and target timing.

From there, we review the forming route, joints, tolerances, finish and packing method. We then agree the sample criteria before preparing for volume production.
